Throughput of Illichivsk Sea Commercial Port (Ukraine) Down 14.5%
In January-August 2009, Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk (Ukraine) handled 10.939 million tonnes of cargo (-14.5%, year-on-year), the state companys administration informs. In August of the current year the company decreased cargo transshipment by 13%, year-on-year, to 1.502 million tonnes.

Milk Alliance plans no acquisitions
Sergei Vovchenko, CEO of Milk Alliance, says the company plans its domestic sales to reach the level of foreign sales to minimize the negative impact of import restrictions in the countries where it supplies its products like Russia and Belarus. Import and export of cheese decrease in H1 2009
The Ukrainian State Statistics Committee has informed that import of all kinds of cheese to Ukraine totalled 4,000 tons through January-June 2009, against 6,500 tons in the same period in 2008. Import in value declined from USD 25.3mn (EUR 17.79mn) to USD 14.8mn. Cheese export fell from 39,800 tons to 33,500 tons in volume, and from USD 213.1mn to USD 129.5mn in value.
