Gosreserve of Ukraine to sell 1.85 thsd tonnes of grains on October 12
The State committee of Ukraine of governmental material resources (Gosreserve) plan to sell 1858.78 tonnes of grains at an auction on October 12, 2009, according to the announcement of Gosreserve. Applications for participation are accepted till October 9, 2009.

Ukraine wheat exports jump
Ukraine's wheat exports jumped to 1.832 million tonnes in September from 1.165 million in August and analysts said on Friday the devaluation of the national currency was the main reason for the increase in sales. "A sharp devaluation of the hryvnia makes our grain more favourable for importers," said Serhiy Feofilov, director of UkrAgroConsult agriculture consultancy.

Ukrprodukt Group, one of the major producers of branded dairy products in Ukraine, has announced its financial results for the first half of 2009, Revenue rose by 8.3% year-over-year, to UAH 252.60mn (EUR 20.99mn USD 30.75mn), EBITDA by 4.6% to UAH 19.06mn.

IMF publishes macroeconomic forecast for 2009 agreed with Ukraine
The Ukrainian authorities have agreed with the International Monetary Fund its forecast for a fall in GDP in 2009 at 14%, according to the Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policies, which was agreed by Ukraine and the IMF in July and published by the fund on September 8.

Kazakhstan harvested the record grain crop during recent 5 years
According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, agrarians of the country managed to harvest the excellent grain crops in rather difficult weather conditions of the current year. Grain production volumes in bunker weight totaled nearly 21 mln tonnes, which became the second record harvest during recent five years.

Russia saw zero inflation in September - Rosstat
Russia on September 22-28 saw a zero inflation rate. Since the beginning of the month it was at the point of freezing as well. Since the beginning of the year it has measured 8.1 percent, Prime-Tass quotes the federal state statistics service (Rosstat) as saying.
