Government agrarian policy should be more effective - President Yushchenko
President Viktor Yushchenko believes that the government agrarian policy in 2010 should be more effective and it should envisage an adequate budgetary support and creation of economic stimuli for the strategic sector of Ukraine, he said this in Kharkiv region at a meeting with the agrarians.

Agrarian fund exports 0.5mln tons of grain
For stabilization of the situation on the grain market and replenishment of the state budget's special fund, the Agrarian Fund exports up to 0.5 million tons of grain from the state intervention fund of the 2006-2009 yield, the Cabinet's instruction posted on the government's website testify to that.

Danosha launches pig farm for 15,000 heads
A pig complex for 15,000 heads has been built in Luka of the Ivano-Frankovsk region. Danosha, a company with a 100% Dutch capital, is the investor. Cost of the project amounted to about UAH 60mn (EUR 4.86mn USD 7.08mn). Modern equipment was installed at the complex. Also, the latest waste utilization technology are used.

Sugar output 225,000 tons

In 10-15 years, Russia to increase grain production to 120-125 mln tonnes
In the nearest 10-15 years, in the terms of using of additional land areas and the growth of yield indices, the general production volumes of grains in Russia will possibly grow to the level of 120-125 mln tonnes per year, declared Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, on October 2.
