Russia’s foreign trade turnover in H1 up 41.5%, to $293.9bn
Foreign trade turnover of Russia, according to the Bank of Russia totaled in the first half of this year $293.9 billion, or 41,5% up from H1, 2009. Exports jumped 51.4% to $189.8 billion, imports increased by 26.4% to $104.2 billion.

As of July 30, Ukraine harvested grains throughout 76% of the general areas
According to data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as of July 30, 2010, agricultural enterprises of all categories harvested grains and leguminous plants (without maize) throughout 9.4 mln ha or 76% from the general sowing areas for the harvest-2010 (as of July 31 2009 – 69% form the general areas), declared the Service on August 16.

Ukraine: as of August 1, grain stocks down 21%
As of August 1, 2010, in Ukraine agricultural enterprises (except of small ones) and grain storage and processing enterprises stocked 16.9 mln tonnes of grains (including 10.9 mln tonnes of wheat, 4.2 mln tonnes of barley, 0.5 mln tonnes of maize, 0.5 mln tonnes of rye), down 21% compared to August 1, 2009, informed the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on August 16.
