Ukraine may retain oilseed exports in 2012/2013 at previous season's level
Oilseed exports from Ukraine in the current marketing year may total 2.7 million tonnes, which is almost the same figure that was registered in the previous marketing year (MY), according to the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.

Modern pomiculture in search of new “niches”
UCAB experts claim that a new stage in pomiculture starts in Ukraine – the phase of search of new "niches". More investors calculate the possibility of establishment of walnut, apricot, cherry or peach orchards. That is the deficit of these crops that the market suffers for the last 5 years. The main factors that limit the growing of these crops is low temperature in winter, sudden temperature fluctuations, spring frosts during flowering, lack of heat, high summer temperatures and lack of rainfalls during the vegetation season.

28% of agroholdings suffer lack of storage facilities
The study "Largest Crop Holdings in Ukraine" conducted by "AgriSurvey" Agency of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB) shows that about 28% of Ukrainian agroholdings do not possess storage facilities for crop preservation in their structure. However, many agricultural holdings, which have their own granaries, still do not fully match the needs in grain storage facilities.
