Ukrmilkinvest is realizing their project of productivity raising in the field of dairy farming
Ukrmilkinvest has commenced an accomplishment of the first base in the project, aimed at improvement of
productivity in their dairy farming, and which in its turn stipulates, among other measures, evaluation of the
prime cost, selection of an appropriate balance between dairy feed and released products, staff-effectiveness
analysis and implementation of motivation-setup among the employees.
An application of the techniques of International Benchmarking, enabling us to analyze the performance of the
entity, compare it to other prominent players at the market, define which business activities are performed
better by other farming groups and the causes of such results, is an essential element in the project of increase
in productivity in the farms of Ukrmilkinvest.
With the auspices of the Association "Ukrainian club of agrarian business" (UCAB), the livestock enterprises of the holding Ukrmilkinvest have joined a research project of European Dairy Farmers – EDF and have been
allowed to the network of experts in the province of dairy sector.
At the end of March 2009, an expert of EDF made acquainted with a workflow at the livestock enterprises of
the holding Ukrmilkinvest in Goshcha and Zdolbuniv districts, provided procedural assistance in data capture
and its analysis. The accumulated information will be made use of in the All-European investigation and utilized
for the refinement of operating activity at the holding.
In his speech at the 1st International Congress “Agribusiness in
2009 and conducted by Adam Smith Institute, Chairman of the Board of Ukrmilkinvest- Mykhaylo Korylkevych
stressed the significance of participation in the projects of international cooperation, enquiry and introduction of
the best experience available in the world and engaging of highly professional European advisers, as one of
the key success factors in the agricultural sector.

Ukrmilkinvest is a holding company, engaging 7 enterprises in Rivne and Volyn regions and specializing in
dairy sector. The enterprises of the holding have been leasing about 4 thousand hectares of land in Rivne
region, which can be considered sufficient for establishing of fodder supplies for 4 thousands of cattle
number. The strategic plan for development of the company stipulates attracting investments from the world
financial markets and herd expansion up to 10 thousands heads in 2010.
