Import of “borsch set” products increased substantially
At the end of the first quarter of 2016, the volume of imports of “borsch set” products - potatoes, onions, cabbage, carrot and red- beets - has risen almost 7 times compared with the same period in 2015.
Imports of carrots and red-beets increased most significantly - from 169 tons in the first quarter of 2015 up to 5814 tons this year, volume of imported potatoes increased in 4 times (from 513 tons up to 2095 tons), cabbage - almost in two times (from 584 tons up to 10460 tons), and onion – on 25% (from 1780 tons up to 2202 tons).
According to the State Committee of Statistics, the value of “borsch set” has increased almost in half at the end of the first quarter of 2016 as compared to the same period in 2015 - from 17.3 UAH up to 43.68 UAH.
